THE SECOND MEETING OF BILATERAL POLITICAL CONSULTATION BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MONGOLIA AND THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF COLOMBIA WAS HELD IN ULAANBAATAR

The second meeting of Bilateral Political Consultation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia was held via video conference on 3rd of March.MPA PHOTO-3866

While the Mongolian side was chaired by D.Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Colombian side was chaired by Patti Londoño Jaramillo, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The participation of the meeting was also varied with corresponding officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Agriculture, environment and tourism.

During the meeting two sides shared brief information on the current situation of politics, society and economy of their respective countries, and discussed the long-term goals in developing bilateral cooperation in all possible sectors including trade, mining, tourism, agriculture and education and the activities to be implemented in its framework. The sides have also exchanged views on cooperating to obtain membership for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation /APEC/.

The Bilateral Political Consultation meeting is the key mechanism in bilateral relations and in determining the potentials and priorities of the future cooperation and should also give an impetus to develop active cooperation in the international arena as well.
