YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME PARTICIPATES IN THE OATH-TAKING CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST TIME

On 26 November, 850 young people from 9 districts of Ulaanbaatar city participated in oath-taking ceremony. During the ceremony, 33 youths received their citizen’s identity cards from the Prime Minister of Mongolia. Among them G.Orkhon, who is with Down syndrome, received his citizen’s identity card and took the Oath of Allegiance to Mongolia. It was the first time where people with Down syndrome took the ceremony.

The ceremony, which is held annually on 26 November, the Proclamation Day of Mongolia, is organized under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Mongolia in collaboration with the Youth Federation and the Authority for Family, Children and Youth Development.
