Within the framework of “Years to Visit Mongolia” campaign, the Embassy of Mongolia to Australia in collaboration with the Canberra Diplomatic Club organized the “Welcome to Mongolia” cultural event in Canberra on 17 May 2023 at Park Hyatt Canberra Hotel.

The event was attended by more than 200 guests from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, Department of Home Affairs of Australia, Australian Border Force, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and diplomats of Diplomatic Missions in Canberra as well as Australian private sector representatives.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Commonwealth of Australia H.E. Mr. Davaasuren Damdinsuren highlighted the current bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Australia as well as Mongolian Government policies towards implementing the “Years to Visit Mongolia” campaign.

Afterwards, guests watched a “Welcome to Mongolia” short video, experienced Mongolian traditional food and enjoyed horsehead fiddle, khoomei and folk dance performances.
