On July 27th, 2020, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs B.Munkhjin received Chai Wenrui, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia. Ambassador Chai Wenrui extended congratulations to Vice Minister B.Munkhjin on his appointment as Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and wished him every success.
During the meeting, Vice Minister and Ambassador discussed a wide range of issues, including the bilateral relationship, regional and international cooperation.
Vice Minister B.Munkhjin noted that the Mongolian new government will maintain the continuity of foreign policy, deepen the Mongolia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including the implementation of major projects being discussed between the two countries.
Ambassador Chai Wenrui noted that the two sides have been cooperating closely and mutually supported each other on the international arena, and underlined the importance of maintaining high-level visits and meetings, and regularization of the cooperation mechanisms for further development of the bilateral relations.
Vice Minister and Ambassador agreed to focus the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy on mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and on normalizing trade and economic cooperation.
