Ms. Izumi Nakamitsu, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, will pay a working visit to Mongolia.

During her visit, Ms. Izumi Nakamitsu will participate in the Eighth International Conference of the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security to be held on 15–16 June 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, and give a lecture on the topic “Global and Regional Disarmament at a Crossroads: Challenges and Opportunities for the Future” at the National University of Mongolia for young researches and students.

The United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs’ visit gives an impetus for Mongolian contribution on promoting and strengthening international peace, security and nuclear-weapon-free status.
