The Embassy of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Sweden, in cooperation with the Mongolian Cultural Envoy to Sweden, Mongolian non-governmental organizations such as the Association of Teachers, Association of Knucklebone Shooting as well as Language and cultural centers, organized the “Mongolian Cultural Night-2023” at the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm on April 22, 2023.
The purpose of the event is to showcase the Mongolian tangible and intangible cultural heritage, its traditions to the people of Stockholm, as well as to the young generation of Mongolians living in Sweden. This year’s Mongolian Cultural Night was the second time that it has been organized with the framework of the Stockholm Cultural Night, organized by the Mayor’s office of Stockholm.
The evening activities included a display of “Welcome to Mongolia” tourist content, Mongolian traditional dances and musical performances, folk songs, a fashion show of national costumes, and Mongolian dishes, including dairy products, biscuits and milk tea offered in a Mongolian Ger. The museum’s library also featured exhibitions of Mongolian historical calligraphy, traditional games- “multicolored turtle” and wooden interlocking puzzles.
