The 27th Summit of the Presidents of the Law Association of Asia is being hosted by the Mongolian Bar Association at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from July 21-22nd, 2016.

There are Presidents of Law Associations from about 30 states participating in this Summit, including the International Bar Association, PRC, Japan, ROK, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.

The topics to be discussed in this 27th Summit are “Independence of Constitutional Courts: Role of Lawyers and Law Associations” and “Mining and Improving Legal Capacity and Human Rights”, and it is planned to adopt a regional lawyer’s immunity declaration during the summit.

In the past 20 years, the summit has been working on developing and strengthening the proficiency and independence of the Law Association, expanding relation and cooperation and it became a platform for protecting legitimate public interest in the Asia Pacific region, increasing lawyer’s professional responsibility, raising public awareness about regional human rights violation issues, and exchanging ideas, information and experience on improving legal education system.
