The first meeting of the Brazil, Mongolia Inter-parliamentary group took place at the Embassy of Mongolia to Brazil on 23 November, 2016. At the beginning, Ambassador Mrs. Sosormaa Chuluunbaatar has briefed on current situation in Mongolia as well as on the Embassy’s main achievements, and introduced on activities planned on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Brazil that will mark coming 2017. The deputies that presented at the meeting, namely, Mrs. Damina Pereira, head of Woman caucus at the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, former mayor of Porte Alegre city Mr. Jose Fogaca and deputy Mrs. Cristiane Yared have voted unanimously for appointing Mr. Luiz Filho, head of Environment and Sustainable development commission of the Chamber of Deputies as a leader of the Inter-parliamentary group. Members of the group have expressed desire to visit Mongolia in June, 2017 to launch official ties with the same group at the Parliament of Mongolia.
Guest were offered Mongolian traditional cuisine while introduced to Mongolian culture and customs.
