The Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will pay a state visit to Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, on February 7-8th of 2024.

The President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, F.W. Steinmeier, will hold an official meeting and discuss bilateral matters and ways to scale-up the level of the bilateral relation.

During the visit, relevant ministries and authorities of the two countries will sign cooperation documents in the fields of energy, transportation, education, environment, law, legislation, and archeology.

Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany were established on January 31, 1974, and this year marks the 50th anniversary.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Mongolia back in 2014 as the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs.
