An online meeting of the Mongolia-European Union Subcommittee on Trade and Investment under the auspices of the Joint Committee was held on November 23, 2023. The parties discussed current economic situation, investment environment as well as its trade policies. During the meeting, the EU side announced that the EU’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences, designed to support economic stability and sustainable development in developing countries, was extended until 2027. The parties highlighted the importance of the GSP+ in increasing Mongolia’s exports through duty-free access of 7200 products to the EU market.
