H.E. Mrs. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister for Foreign Affairs, received H.E. Mr. Abdullah Alteneiji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Mongolia, on March 26, 2021, and exchanged views on the Mongolia-Emirati relations and cooperation.

Minister Battsetseg expressed her satisfaction with the bilateral relationships and highlited the important issues to be implemented, such as the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2021, and the opening of the Embassy of Mongolia in Abu Dhabi.

Ambassador Abdullah AlTeneiji handed over the congratulatory letter from H.H.Mr. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, and expressed his hope that the Mongolian side will participate at the Dubai EXPO.

The two sides exchanged views on cooperation against COVID-19 pandemic. Minister Battsetseg congratulated the UAE on successful intensive immunization of its citizens, and expressed personal gratitude on behalf of the Government of Mongolia for the donation of medical supplies as a contribution to Mongolia’s efforts to contain the pandemic spread.
