Mongolia welcomes the agreement to hold an inter-Korean summit as a result of the meeting between the Special envoy of Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea and Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Worker’s Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, held on March 5, 2018.

It is our belief that the upcoming inter-Korean summit will give an important impetus to confidence-building on the Korean Peninsula, and to ensuring peace and security in Northeast Asia.
