Mr.D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, has stopped by in Addis Ababa on his way to take part in international conference in Nairobi, Kenya, and met with Mrs. Hirut Zemene, Political Affair State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, on 2nd of February, 2018. Parties have exchanged views on further development of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Ethiopia.
State Secretary Davaasuren extended his appreciation to the Government of Ethiopia for ratifying the Multilateral Agreement for the Establishment of International Think Tank for Land-Locked Developing Countries, and highlighted wide potentials for cooperation through the activities of the International Think Tank. State Secretary presented the letter from H.E. D.Tsogtbaatar, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, to the Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, inviting to nominate the Ethiopian representative to the Board of Governors of the ITT – LLDC.
While expressing her gratefulness to the Mongolian side for its commitments to develop the bilateral ties, Mrs.H.Zemene has informed about the activities to address the socio-economic development and actions to overcome the challenges Ethiopia faces as a landlocked country.
Our countries share an active participation in the international peacekeeping operations by sending troops and military officers to the UN regional peacekeeping operations. Furthermore, parties had discussion on information, experience sharing and cooperation in this matter.
