On August 19th Mr. N.Ankhbayar, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, received H.E.Mr. Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia. Ambassador H.Kobayashi extended his congratulations to Mr. N.Ankhbayar on his appointment as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and wished success in his future endeavors.
State Secretary N.Ankhbayar while expressing his support for the deepening of the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Japan in all fields of cooperation, highlighted the importance of taking full advantage of the dialogue mechanisms between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. The two sides also agreed to work closely to expand trade and investment cooperation and strengthen ties between the private sectors.
Ambassador Kobayashi having reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with the Foreign Ministry to strengthen friendly relations between Japan and Mongolia, pointed out the importance of trade and economic cooperation. He also noted that, in order to support business cooperation during COVID-19 pandemic, the possibilities of facilitating quarantine regime for the representatives of private sector travelling from Mongolia to Japan, are being studied.
Secretary of State N.Ankhbayar expressed his gratitude to the Government of Japan for providing practical assistance to Mongolia both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and international organizations at a time of continued fight of the entire world against COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed his appreciation of the decision of the Government of Japan to grant visas to the Mongolian recipients of Japanese Government university scholarships on the 18th of August.
