Mr. N.Ankhbayar, MFA  State Secretary received His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Alteneiji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates, on June 8, 2021, and exchanged views on Mongolia-Emirati relations and cooperation.

Ambassador Abdullah Alteneiji, noting that the economic situation in Mongolia has been stable in recent years, and that the UAE had identified prospects for foreign and domestic investment in the near future, spoke about the interest in investing in Mongolia and the opportunity for Mongolian businesses to enter the UAE market. The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of concluding a double taxation agreement between the two countries. He also asked for information on the quarantine for foreign tourists in connection with Mongolia’s opening of the border.

State Secretary N.Ankhbayar expressed his commitment to advancing the issues  raised by the Ambassador for the development of bilateral cooperation.  Also the State Secretary handed over the land certificate for UAE Embassy usage.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the UAE and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the resident Emirati Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
