During the Annual Bilateral Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the State Department of the United States, Mr. Davaasuren Damdinsuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with Mr. Daniel Kritenbrink, Senior Director for Asian Affairs of the National Security Council, and Mr. Ryan Hass, Director for China, Taiwan, Mongolia of the National Security Council, and briefed them on Mongolia-American relations and cooperation and exchanged their views on international and regional issues.

Also State Secretary Davaasuren met with Ambassador Mark Green, President of the IRI, and Mr. Carl Gershman, President of the National Endowment for Democracy, to express his gratitude for their support and cooperation rendered for establishment of democratic institution, civil society in Mongolia and discussed further activities. For instance, participation in exchange programmes, organized by their institutions and study tours in the United States for the members of the State Great Khural, civil servants and researchers.
State Secretary Davaasuren met with Mr. Ted Piccone, Foreign Policy Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institution, and discussed on possibilities of cooperation and exchange among research institutions of both countries on regular basis.
