On September 22, 2023, State Secretary Ankhbayar Nyamdorj of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held discussions with Ms. Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative, to explore and strengthen cooperation between Mongolia and the UNDP.
State Secretary N.Ankhbayar underscored the leading role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in fostering intersectoral coordination for cooperation and highlighted the significant contribution of the UNDP Country Program for 2023-2027 in advancing Mongolia’s sustainable and inclusive development.
During the meeting, Ms. Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative commended Mongolia’s efforts in implementing SDGs and affirmed her proactive commitment to advancing development cooperation between Mongolia and the United Nations.
In the years 2023-2027, Mongolia and UNDP share a resolute commitment to collaborative efforts centered around three key priorities: the transition to a diversified, inclusive, green economy; risk-informed climate adaptation and sustainable natural ecosystem management; and the advancement of women’s empowerment, inclusive governance, and overall progress.
