Secretary of State Mr. N. Ankhbayar delivered opening remarks during the opening ceremony organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on the occasion of the “World Food Day” on October 14, 2022.
In his speech, he emphasized Mongolia’s effective cooperation with the United Nations and its system organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization and praised FAO’s significant contribution to the development of agriculture and light industry in Mongolia.
Secretary of State Mr. N. Ankhbayar stated that he will continue to work closely with FAO to increase the participation of wealth creators in the food, agriculture, natural ecology, trade, and economy sectors within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the “Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework” country program document to be implemented by the United Nations in Mongolia in 2023-2027.
In addition, Secretary of State Mr. N. Ankhbayar stressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ active participation in efforts to develop an ecologically friendly and responsible agricultural sector, ensure food security for the population, protect public health, support and local development as well as expressing continued support to the abovementioned efforts.
This event highlighted the participation of women in the food and agriculture sectors and had supported the participation of wealth creators and food producers who favored production of traditional Mongolian food and drinks.
