Mr. D.Gankhuyag, Secretary of State met with Ms. Jannicke Graatrud, ASEM Acting Senior Official for Norway at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the beginning of the meeting, the State Secretary expressed his gratitude for representing Norway and taking part in the ASEM Senior Officials’. He briefed on the countries which have confirmed their participation in the ASEM Summit to be held in Ulaanbaatar in July, 2016 and further asked the Norwegian side to seek the possibilities of participating at a high level.

The Norwegian ASEM Acting Senior Official mentioned that they are working to set-up a visa center in Ulaanbaatar to simplify the procedures for applying for a visa to travel to Norway. Sides exchanged views on the cooperation between Mongolia and Norway, particularly on broadening cultural ties and agreed to study the feasibility of implementing joint projects through the International Cooperation Fund of Mongolia.
