PROMOTIONAL EVENT OF THE “YEARS TO VISIT MONGOLIA” WAS SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED

The Embassy of Mongolia in France, in collaboration with the “Petit Futé,” a renowned publishing company specializing in travel guides and magazines for French-speaking countries, successfully organized an event to promote the Government initiative “Years to Visit Mongolia.” The event took place on June 15, 2023, in Paris and showcased the 2023 spring/summer issue of the “Petit Futé” magazine, featuring comprehensive articles on various aspects of Mongolian tourism, along with the newly published Mongolian tourism guidebook.

Distinguished guests, including French tourism operators, prominent travel publications, news journalists, bloggers, and influencers, attended the event. In her opening speech, Ambassador U. Nyamkhuu announced that the Government of Mongolia has declared 2023-2025 as the “Years to Visit Mongolia.” As part of this initiative, citizens of 34 countries, including EU countries, are now exempt from tourist visas. Additionally, the government has introduced the electronic visa system, www.evisa.mn, to simplify the visa application process for countries with visas. The newly launched website, www.mongoliatravel.guide, provides comprehensive information about Mongolia to tourists. The Ambassador also highlighted the major events that will be organized within the framework of the “Years to Visit Mongolia” initiative.

During the event, Mr. Louis Auzias, Director of “Petit Futé,” and Ms. Cannelle Bruscini, author of the Mongolia travel guide, emphasized the country’s improved infrastructure, exciting new events, and exceptional services within the tourism industry. They underscored that Mongolia is a must-visit destination for travelers.

To showcase Mongolia’s rich culture and art, the event featured captivating performances by the folk rock band “Uuhai,” talented morin khuur player D. Mandakhjargal, and mesmerizing contortionist E. Urandelger, who delighted the audience with their incredible talent.
