The theoretical and practical international conference on “Russia in the UN Decade of Ocean Science” is being held on October 24-28 at the Altair Children’s Technopark of the MIREA – Russian Technological University.
Mongolian students studying at the MIREA – Russian Technological University are participating in the multi-national exhibition organized as part of the theoretical and practical conference and displayed exhibits and souvenirs depicting their national culture and traditions. G.Mungunsuvd, a second-year master’s student and the best foreign student of 2021-2022, G.Itgelt, a first-year bachelor’s student, and several students studying in the preparatory course, G.Khos-Erdene, B.Enkhgerel, B.Azjargal and A.Bilguun, have had warm conversations with the event participants on the history and development of Mongolia as well as the customs and lifestyle of the Mongolian people.
J.Bayarkhuu, First Secretary of the Embassy of Mongolia to Russia, gave an opening remark during the commencement ceremony of the conference. He noted that Mongolia, a landlocked country, joined the International Maritime Organization in 1996 and has acceded to 29 international agreements, conventions and protocols on maritime transport. He also expressed his contentment with the Mongolian students who are promoting their national culture and traditions to the conference participants and guests at the international event.
