Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of the Philippines. On this auspicious occasion, His Excellency Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of Mongolia, and His Excellency Mr. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, as well as Her Excellency Mrs. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and His Excellency Mr. Enrique A.Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines exchanged congratulatory letters on 11 October 2023.
In his letter, His Excellency Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of Mongolia, noted that traditionally friendly relations between Mongolia and the Philippines have steadily grown over the past 50 years thanks to the mutual efforts exerted by both sides, and expressed his conviction that the bilateral cooperation would be further broadened encompassing many areas including trade, investments, agriculture and defense.
His Excellency Mr. Ferdinand R.Marcos, Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, conveyed his congratulations to the Mongolian President and reaffirmed his country’s commitment in further strengthening the bilateral relations through advancing cultural exchanges, economic partnerships and diplomatic dialogues.
While congratulating her Filipino counterpart on the half-centennial anniversary of the diplomatic relations, Her Excellency Mrs. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, noted that the Mongolian side attaches importance to identifying future perspectives for the next 50 years of cooperation as well as deepening the collaboration in all possible areas.
His Excellency Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to strengthen the bilateral relations and expressed his confidence that the mutual collaboration would be advanced in various avenues of cooperation.
