On November 3, 2023, President of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh received Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.
Expressing delight in his State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the eve of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Vietnam, President U.Khurelsukh emphasized the significance of Vietnam as an important partner in Southeast Asia. He highlighted the deep historical, spiritual, and cultural ties between the two countries, fostering friendly and close relations.
Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged the consistent deepening of traditional friendly relations and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties. He also emphasized the enduring support between the Mongolian and Vietnamese peoples during challenging times.
Recognizing the robust foundation of bilateral relations built by successive leaders, which has endured over time and continues to strengthen, both sides agreed that it is the right timing to elevate their strong relations to a Comprehensive Partnership.
Emphasizing the vital role of cooperation between the highest legislative bodies in strengthening political relations and establishing a legal framework, the two parties committed to supporting inter-parliamentary cooperation. This includes enhancing exchanges between Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the Offices of the President, with a focus on expanding bilateral cooperation.
