On August 26, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Vietnam Mr.Dash Bilegdorj paid a courtesy call to the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H.E. Mr.Nguyen Xuan Phuc upon completion of his tenure and discussed in detail about current situation and further measures to be taken in terms of bilateral relations between the
two countries.
The two parties noted the active development of cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam in the fields of politics, security, defense and education, and agreed to continue further cooperate to upgrade the bilateral relationship level.
The two sides also agreed to organize reciprocal visits at various levels once the COVID-19 situation improves. The Vietnamese side stressed the need to resolve the issue of transport and logistics between the two countries in order to increase trade volume between Mongolia and Vietnam.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised Ambassador Dash Bilegdorj's contribution to the development of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries and wished him success in his endeavour.
Оn August 23, Ambassador Mr. Dash Bilegdorj was received by Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu and exchanged views on establishing direct passenger and cargo flights between the two countries and expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the Vietnamese side also proposed to organize a high level visit from Mongolia to Vietnam next year.
