H.E. Mr. U.Khurelsukh, President of Mongolia will hold a virtual summit meeting with H.E. Mr. Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea on September 10th, 2021. This will mark the first summit between the Presidents of the two countries in four years.
Relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea have been expanding in all areas of cooperation since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1990. Today, the Republic of Korea have become an important trade and investment partner of Mongolia, as the two countries are extensively developing “Comprehensive Partnership” since 2011. At the summit, the two Heads of State are expected to agree on the advancement of Mongolia-Korea bilateral relationship to the level of “Strategic Partnership”.
During the meeting, the two sides will discuss current state of bilateral political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, educational and humanitarian cooperation, and will set priorities for future cooperation. The parties will also exchange views on expediting the implementation of ODA projects and programs, promotion of people-to-people exchanges as well as regional and international topics of mutual interest.
