NALAIKH DISTRICT SIGNS AGREEMENT OF FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION WITH GOULBURN CITY OF AUSTRALIA

A delegation headed by the Governor of Nalaikh district Mr Radnaabazar Choijinsambuu is visiting Australia from 25 February to 2 March 2019 upon the invitation extended by Mr Bob Kirk, Mayor of Goulburn city, New South Wales.

At the outset of the visit, delegates had a meeting with Mr Paul Myler, Assistant Secretary of the North East Asia Branch of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was briefed on existing bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and Australia.

During their visit to Goulburn city in the state of New South Wales, delegates met and exchanged views on cooperation with Goulburn city Mayor Cr Bob Kirk, General Manager Mr Warwick Bennet and Head of the Planning Department of the Council Mr Scott Martin. Governor Radnaabazar and Mayor Kirk signed the Agreement of Friendship and Cooperation between Nalaikh District and Goulburn City on 27 February 2019. By concluding such agreement, both sides agree to develop cooperation in education, culture, tourism and trade.  Also, delegates visited the Visitor Information Center of Goulburn as well as cattle and crop farms of the region.

Goulburn, New South Wales was established in 1863. It is a historic city with a growing agriculture industry and a home to more than 30 thousand people. Goulburn has friendship city relations with cities from the United States, Japan, Timor Leste and Uganda.
