Mr. Ankhbayar Nyamdorj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a meeting with Ambassador Jennifer Brush, Head of the Election Observation Mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on 22 May, 2024.
ODIHR officially opened its Election Observation Mission (EOM), led by Ambassador Jennifer Brush in Mongolia on 21 May, 2024 to observe the upcoming Parliamentary elections in Mongolia.
Sides exchanged views on upcoming Parliamentary elections, which will take place on 28 June, 2024. Mongolia became the OSCE’s 57th participating State in 2012. In line with the OSCE commitments, at the invitation of the Government of Mongolia, ODIHR dispatched it’s first-ever EOM to the presidential election in 2013, after which the 2017, 2021 presidential elections and 2016, 2020 parliamentary elections were successfully observed by EOM.
