“Mongols at the Edges of Mongolia” conference co-organized by the Embassy of Mongolia to Australia and Mongolia Institute at the Australian National University was held in Canberra on 9 November 2018.

A total of 11 scholars from Mongolia, the Republic of Buryatia and Republic of Kalmykia of Russia, Inner Mongolia of China and Australia presented their work on history of settlement of Mongols in countries surrounding Mongolia as well as challenges those communities facing to preserve their language, culture and traditions and engaged in broader discussions.  The conference was broadcasted by the Mongolian National Television.
