The Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO convenes its members’ meeting on February 29, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
Ms. Battsetseg Batmunkh Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, highlighted in her opening remarks that the key activities carried out in the past year within the priority the areas of education, science, culture, and information and communication. Moreover, the Foreign Minister and Chair of the National Commission emphasized the importance of close cooperation and coordination among stakeholders for achieving the goals in the framework of the collaboration between Mongolia and UNESCO.
At the meeting, Mr. S. Boldsaikhan, Secretary General of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, presented the activities undertaken in 2023 and the proposed work plan for 2024.
About 30 officials from relevant ministries and stakeholders participated in the meeting and exchanged views on the results and progress made in 2023, and work plan for 2024 towards enhancing the efficiency of cooperation and contributing to the national development in the field of education, culture, science, and information and communication sectors within the framework of Mongolia’s collaboration with UNESCO.
