As a result of harsh spring conditions and widespread “dzud” across much of Mongolia, the Mongolian Red Cross Society initiated a voluntary donation campaign named “Helping Herdsmen.” This effort saw participation from the Mongolian diplomatic missions abroad, as well as cultural envoys. In response to heavy snowfall, members of the staff of the mission opted to contribute a day’s salary to support the cause.

On March 5, 2024, Ankhbayar Nyamdorj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented the collected donations from this campaign to Mrs. Tuyatsetseg, Head of the Partnership Resource Development Department of the Mongolian Red Cross Society. Additionally, on February 27, the Ministry’s staffs and number of Diplomatic Missions abroad also donated their day’s salary in solidarity with the initiative.
