On 25 November 2017, the 7th Celebration of Silk: Thai Silk Road to the World 2017 fashion event was held at Centara Grand Hotel and Convention Centre in Bangkok in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. The event was organized with the active participation and support of SHOM (Spouses of Heads of Missions) for the 7th year in a row. This year’s event was more peculiar as designers from over 30 countries took part in the project by designing dresses and suits made from Thai silk for diplomats accredited in Bangkok including 11 ambassadors and 21 spouses of heads of missions. Mongolian top designer Miss Nomungerel Baysakh has successfully participated in the Thai Silk Road to the World 2017 with her Monalun brand dress worn by the spouse of the Mongolian Ambassador to Thailand. In addition, as part of the project on 23 November 2017, Miss Nomungerel Bayasakh had her own fashion showcase where she presented her collection of dresses themed “Migrating Cranes” at Central World.
