The delegation of Mongolia, headed by the Secretary of the Nuclear Energy Commission of Mongolia, is participating in the 66th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency held from 26 to 30 September, 2022 in Vienna, Austria. The General Conference will discuss 26 agenda items related to the annual report of the IAEA, nuclear and radiation safety, technical cooperation, peaceful applications of nuclear technologies and strengthening international cooperation.
The Secretary of the Nuclear Energy Commission of Mongolia G.Manlaijav made a statement on Mongolia’s position at the General Debate on September 27, 2022. In addition, the delegates will meet with representatives of the Department of Nuclear Energy, the Department of Safeguards and the Department of Technical Cooperation to exchange views on a wide range of cooperation issues, including projects and programs implemented jointly with the IAEA.
Professional trainings and seminars in the field of nuclear and radiation control, safety, protection and nuclear technologies, as well as a Scientific Forum entitled “Rays of Hope: Cancer Care for All” to help countries to increase access to cancer care will be organized on the sidelines of the General Conference.
