MONGOLIA OPENS ITS EMBASSY IN TASHKENT

As part of the State visit of the President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the official opening ceremony of the Embassy of Mongolia in Tashkent was held.

Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg underscored that as discussed and agreed by the two Heads of State, Mongolia’s opening of its Embassy in Tashkent within a short period of time is a clear sign of our country’s commitment to expanding and deepening the relations and cooperation with Uzbekistan.

She further noted that the Embassy will make a significant contribution to bolstering bilateral trade and investment and strengthening people-to-people ties and expressed her confidence that the Embassy of Uzbekistan will be opened soon in Ulaanbaatar.

The opening ceremony was attended by the President U.Khurelsukh, his spouse L.Bolortsetseg, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Aripov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan B.Saidov, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan D.Batbaatar and other relevant officials.

Mongolia operated its Consulate General in Tashkent from 1977 to 1994. Currently, Tashkent hosts 46 foreign Embassies, 3 Consulates General, and 13 Honorary Consulates.
