MONGOLIA HAS BEEN ELECTED AS VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COUNCIL OF THE IPDC

Mongolia has been elected as Vice-President of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) of UNESCO.

The Intergovernmental Council of the IPDC is composed of 39 member countries, including Mongolia, which is elected for the term 2013-2017. Ms.Kh.Naranjargal, Chairwoman of the Mongolian National Committee on  the IPDC, represents Mongolia in the Intergovernmental Council of the IPDC.

The IPDC, designed to mobilize the international community to discuss and promote media development in developing countries, has mobilized some US$ 100 million for over 1500 projects in more than 140 developing countries and countries in transition.
