In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Italian Republic, the two sides exchanged congratulatory messages between Heads of State and Foreign Ministers.
Mr. Tserendorj Jambaldorj, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Italian Republic, and Ms. Gabriella Biondi, Director-General of the Asia and Oceania Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation of Italy exchanged the letters. Both sides expressed their pleasure with the development of bilateral ties, which is based on the values of democracy and human rights, in various areas.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and Italy on June 29, 1970 and the reciprocal opening of Embassies in the respective capitals, bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, trade, economy, culture and education has continued to develop. This can be seen from the fact that the trade turnover has steadily grown by more than 30 percent annually since 2016.
