On January, 21 2019, the Third Consultative Meeting between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Colombia was conducted in Bogota, Colombia.

Mr.D. Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and Mr.Francisco Echeverri, Acting Deputy Foreign Minister of Colombia, headed the delegations respectively.

During the meeting, State Secretary and Deputy Minister have exchanged views on current political, social and economic situation and further expansion of cooperation in trade, mining, tourism, culture, agriculture and education sectors in respective countries. They also affirmed their willingness to consolidate the progress made in Mongolia-Colombia relations and underlined the importance of the consultative meeting in identifying cooperation fields and further directions.

Heads of delegations have agreed to exchange mutual visits, conclude agreements on abolition of visa requirements for holders of regular passports and on technical cooperation.

Moreover, cooperation within the framework of the UN, FEALAC and other international organizations was discussed, as well as issue of APEC membership of Mongolia.

The State Secretary has visited the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Colombia.
