Today, H.E B.Battsetseg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia met with H.E. Ruslan Kazakbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic in Nur-Sultan on the sidelines of the 6^th meeting of Foreign Ministers of CICA.

During the meeting Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg reaffirmed  Mongolia’s commitment to expand and develop traditionally friendly relations between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, and invited Foreign Minister R.Kazakbayev to pay a visit to Mongolia next year, on the occasion of the 30^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.

The parties also having exchanged views on the possibilities to restore and expand bilateral cooperation during COVID-19 pandemic, agreed to organize the 4^th meeting of the Mongolia-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission in Ulaanbaatar at the end of this year, during which a wide range of issues concerning bilateral trade and economic cooperation will be discussed.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan R.Kazakbayev expressed his interest to conduct a high-level visit on the occasion of the 30^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year and proposed to jointly explore possibilities of establishing direct flights between the two countries in order to promote cooperation between private sectors. He also invited Mongolia’s respective authorities to observe Kyrgyzstan’s parliamentary elections which will be held in November this year.
