Mr. L.Purevsuren, Minister for Foreign Affairs conducted a press briefing today.

           The detailed information regarding the XIV Session of the Mongolia-China Inter-Governmental Commission on trade, economic, science-technology cooperation, which was held in Ulaanbaatar on May 5-6, 2016, was provided to media representatives. During the Session broad discussion and exchange of opinions were held on the issues of projects and programmes within the framework of concessional loan and assistance, which will be provided by the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia, and 4 documents were signed.

The Minister L.Purevsuren paid an official visit to the Republic of India on the invitation of the Indian Foreign Minister on April 27-29, 2016 and the 1 billion USD of soft loan general agreement was signed.

The Foreign Minister briefed about his visit to Paris to participate in the work of XII Assembly of the “For the development of Mongolia”, which was conducted in the framework of implementation of the programme “World Mongolians”. Also the Minister visited the Asia House, foreign policy study think-tank Chatham House and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, where he spoke about the current political, economic, social situation in Mongolia and its further developments, about foreign policy, regional cooperation of Mongolia and the upcoming ASEM Summit.
