On February 24, 2021, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg had a phone conversation with State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi.
Minister Wang Yi congratulated Minister B.Battsetseg on her appointment as the Foreign Minister of Mongolia and wished a great success in her endeavors.
The Foreign Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the active development of Mongolia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership amid the uneasy time of Covid-19 and reiterated their intention to closely work together to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
The two sides agreed to organize reciprocal high-level visits and cooperation mechanism meetings in appropriate formats taking into account the pandemic development.
The Foreign Ministers agreed, while continue paying high attention to preventing the spread of the pandemic, to place greater emphasis on boosting trade and economic partnership, and further deepen coordination and information exchange among relevant authorities of the two countries in order to advance major projects and facilitate trade.
Minister B.Battsetseg thanked the Chinese Government for donating 300,000 doses of vaccine to support Mongolia’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The two Ministers also exchanged views on trilateral cooperation projects between Mongolia, China, and Russia and regional and international topics of interest.
