The Embassy of Mongolia is working with McKinley STEM Middle School to promote and share Mongolian culture and history under its 6th grade Social Studies curriculum.
On May 16, Mckinley 6 grade students visited the Embassy of Mongolia with their teacher Ms.Caitlin Krieck and Ms.Kayla Gatalica of Washington Performing Arts to share what they have learned about Mongolia during the academic year of 2015-2016. During their visit students played a “Family-feud” style game to show the different facts they learned about Mongolia.
Ambassador Altangerel Bulgaa noted in his welcoming remarks that the cultural relationship is vital to deepen the person-to-person ties and to strengthen the friendly relationship between our two countries. Ambassador also praised students for their knowledge about Mongolia. Students enjoyed Mongolian cuisine and musician Khatanbold Urlagbaatar played Horse-head-fiddle a traditional Mongolian instrument.
In June students will represent Mongolia at the Model UN.
