The Government and people of Mongolia have come forward with a helping hand to the people and Government of India – Mongolia’s spiritual neighbour and strategic partner, in the common fight against the pandemic.

The Government of Mongolia decided to donate 1 million US Dollars (equivalent of 74 crore INR) to the people and Government of India at this time of trial and transfer it to the Indian Red Cross Society.

The public in Mongolia, through their campaign #TogetherFor India, have also raised almost 50 thousand US dollars (more than 32 lakh Indian rupees) to help the people of India in their fight against the pandemic.

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has expressed sincere appreciation for the noble gesture by the Government and friendly people of Mongolia.

The fund raised by the public would be transferred to the “PM Cares” Fund – public charitable trust of India.
