The Embassy of Mongolia in collaboration with the World Bank Group co-hosted the “Heritage Day of Mongolia” a cultural promotion event at the World Bank headquarter on May 16-17, 2017.
The event was organized on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United States of America with large number of attendance from the Department of State, Department of Defense, World Bank Group, IMF, and Mongolians residing in the US. The Ambassador Mr.Altangerel Bulgaa and Mr.Jason Allford, Executive Director of the World Bank Group representing Mongolia, made opening remarks.
During the cultural promotion event Mongolian artists performed Mongolian traditional, western classical music and dance performances. Moreover, artist Tsolmon Damba distributed his solo art exhibition under the theme of “The Nomad Spirit” and Mongolian cuisine was served by Mongolian chefs and the World Bank restaurant associates.
Mongolia became 155th member of the World Bank on February 1991 and has successfully implemented about 140 projects worth of more than $800 million in the sectors including infrastructure, education and health during the last 26 years of partnership.
