Ts.Munkh-Orgil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia met with Prof. Birtalan Ágnes, Hungarian scholar for Mongol studies and Cultural envoy of Mongolia on 23 August upon the latter’s request.
Prof. A.Birtalan briefed the Foreign Minister on the activities of the Research Centre for Mongol Studies established under the Department of Mongol and Inner Asian Studies of the Ëotvös Loránd University of Hungary and requested to support the activities of the Centre. Being a Cultural envoy of Mongolia, Prof.A.Birtalan expressed her deep aspiration to promote Mongolia in Hungary.
Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed gratitude to Prof. A.Birtalan for actively participating to the 11th International Congress of Mongolists held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, as well as for her valuable contribution to the development of Mongol studies in Europe. Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil pointed out that development of Mongolian studies abroad, and promoting Mongolia to the world is one of the main priorities of the Government of Mongolia, and therefore, expressed readiness to support Prof. A.Birtalan in all possible way.
