On July 10th, 2020, Minister for Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan received Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia I.Azizov. During of the meeting Ambassador I.Azizov presented a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.Lavrov to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia N.Enkhtaivan on his appointment and on occasion of the National Festival of Mongolia – Naadam.
In his letter, Russian Foreign Minister S.Lavrov emphasized that the further expansion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation serves the fundamental interests of the two nations, and will contribute to strengthening stability and security in Asia.
Minister N.Enkhtaivan and Ambassador I.Azizov exchanged views on enrichment of Mongolia-Russian Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the new content. They also discussed preparation for celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
They also emphasized the importance of further close cooperation to boost of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between two nations, especially to advance major projects such as the “Siberian Power -2” and the modernization of railway transport in Mongolia.
Ambassador I.Azizov also extented congratulations to Minister N.Enkhtaivan on behalf of the Diplomatic Corps in Ulaanbaatar on his appointment and wished him every success.
