On July 23rd, 2020, Minister for Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan received Chai Wenrui, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia. Ambassador Chai Wenrui extended congratulations to Minister N.Enkhtaivan on his appointment as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and wished him every success.
During the meeting, Minister N.Enkhtaivan highly spoke of his recent phone call with the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi, where they have exchanged views on deepening the Mongolia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and reached consensus on many important issues. The Minister expressed interest in continuing close cooperation in the fight against pandemic prevention, and kindly requested the Chinese side to supply Mongolia with a coronavirus vaccine upon China develops it.
The Foreign Minister and Ambassador noted the importance of high-level visits and meetings for the stable development of bilateral relations, and agreed to implement high-level mutual visits when conditions allow and to organize meetings of bilateral mechanisms, such as the Intergovernmental Commission, by appropriate ways.
The Foreign Minister and Ambassador underlined the importance of restoring trade and economic cooperation in this uneasy time of worldwide fight against the pandemic, and reaffirmed readiness to take necessary measures to boost bilateral trade relations and implementation major projects.
