FOREIGN MINISTER N.ENKHTAIVAN HAS A VIDEO CALL WITH HUNGARIAN MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE PÉTER SZIJJÁRTÓ

Minister for Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan had a video call with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto on September 29th, 2020.

During the meeting, the Ministers noted the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges in developing the relations between Mongolia and Hungary. The Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the virtual meeting, in spite of the pandemic, and having the opportunity to exchange views on advancing bilateral cooperation.

The two sides discussed the enhancement of trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of economic projects, such as the “Biocombinat” as well as other projects that are to be implemented. Both sides agreed on implementing projects in the field of agriculture, particularly food production, food safety and irrigation.

Minister N.Enkhtaivan highlighted that education is one of the main areas of bilateral cooperation and expressed his gratitude to the Hungarian side for receiving the Hungarian Government scholarship recipients. Minister Szijjártó reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the scholarship program and hoped that the relevant document will be signed in the near future.

The Ministers also touched upon strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual support within the UN and other international organizations.

This year marks 70th anniversary of the establishment diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary.
