Ms. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is paying a visit to the Republic of Slovenia on 15-16 May, 2023.

Within the framework of the visit, Foreign Ministers Ms.Battsetseg Batmunkh and Ms.Tanja Fajon held official talks in Ljubljana on 15 May, 2023 and discussed issues of mutual interest on bilateral relations and cooperation as well as international and regional issues.

The sides emphasized the rapid expansion of bilateral relations in recent years and the establishment of Political Consultations mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. In strengthening the achievements of the last 30 years of cooperation in the coming years, the two sides agreed to establish “Air Services Agreement” between the Governments, increase cooperation among businesses by regularly organizing “Business meetings” between the private sectors, especially in the tourism sector, and start cooperation in the fields of forest management, artificial intelligence and information technology.

Both Foreign Ministers also exchanged views on ensuring human rights, increasing women´s political participation as well as the role of active involvement of women in the diplomatic service and, consequently, the “Women Foreign Ministers´ Meeting” to be held in Ulaanbaatar in June of this year.
