Foreign Minister D. Tsogtbaatar met Mr. Samuel Brownback, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, the Department of State, on September 20, 2018.
Ambassador Brownback recalled his meeting with Minister Tsogtbaatar during the first Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, which was held in Washington DC in July, and expressed appreciation to the Mongolian side for appointing Ambassador-at-Large, in charge of religious freedom at the MFA, giving an importance to the follow up of the conference. Ambassador expressed his readiness for cooperation.
Foreign Minister highlighted that Mongolia values the religious freedom and noted the importance of levying the religion in strengthening the international unity and peace. He also informed about the plans to host the Asian Buddhist Conference for Peace in 2019 in Ulaanbaatar and expressed hope that American related institutions would attend the event.
