H.E. Mr. Tsogtbaatar Damdin, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mrs. Catherine Arnold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia on October 27, 2017. During the meeting sides have exchanged views on current situation and future direction of bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. 

            Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar expressed his interest in expanding Mongolia-UK relations in all possible areas, enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation and continuing collaboration on nation branding.

Ambassador Arnold congratulated Mr. Tsogtbaatar on his appointment as Foreign Minister, and briefed the Minister about works and initiatives aimed at broadening and developing UK-Mongolia relations and cooperation. Her Excellency also highlighted the active collaboration by both sides on improving professional skills of Mongolian diplomats. 

Mongolia established its diplomatic relations with the UK on January 23, 1963.
