H.E. Mr. D.Tsogtbaatar, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with Mr. David Sproule, Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia on 6th of November, 2017.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar has expressed his fulfillment in dynamic relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Canada, and emphasized the importance of reinforcing agricultural collaboration in the bilateral economic ties. Furthermore, Minister has mentioned that Mongolia has a lot to learn from Canadian experiences of identifying and implementing the economic and foreign trade policies as a country neighboring to the biggest market of the world.
H.E. Ambassador David Sproule congratulated the Minister upon his appointment as Foreign Minister. Aside from political and economic tie, Ambassador has highlighted the significance of defense relations between Mongolia and Canada, and has extended his great appreciation to Mongolia’s contribution to the UN Peacekeeping operation. Also, he has underlined the consistent and active cooperation of both parties under the Development Assistance by the Government of Canada.
Mongolia and Canada will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2018.
Prior to the current assignment Mr. David Sproule served as Canada’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Thailand, Norway and Libya and he presented his credentials to the President of Mongolia in September, 2017. He studied political science and law.
